Dr Who question:

Is it supposed to make me all teary eyed? Because I don't recall any Tom Baker episodes giving me a lump in the throat.

I love this show btw.

One part down

Tonight I finished stitching part 2 of the GTK. Huzzah. Well, I didn't do the beading because I save it for closer to the end. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow.

I started part 3 as well. 50 leaves, 12 clusters of grapes and lots of little vines. Yes I counted. Onto the Kelp. I think I will be able to finish this part by May 1st.

I'm guessing that part 4 will be the initials and the rest of the grapes (beading this time I think).

This is a nine month class, but I think actual assembly will be during one of the months. I may need more than one month for assembly. I'm feeling happier now that two parts (minus beads and special stitches because I'm hard on my stitching) are done.

It would just be nice to finish something.

Goal for the Week

I haven't stitched yet today, but.....

I want to finish parts two and three of GTK this week. Technically I should be stitching projects for others but I don't want to remain one part behind for yet another month. Part four will be released on May first and I fully intend to be ready to start stitching it.

One of my goals has been to keep up with the monthly parts on this one. I actually have all the supplies (except the finishing materials, which aren't available yet). Actually, I do not have the Copper Wildflowers (I misread the Materials list and pulled my cedar WF instead). But then I like the cedar better than the copper and I like Bark best of all my brownish WF so I don't know what I'll do. I showed the Bark to my Hubby and he thought it was too dark for the material. I may use it anyway.

Oh, and did I mention that my wisteria fabric looks soo much darker than the blue sub or the wisteria used by one of the other stitchers? I love it though. It looks like a cross between DMC 341 and 3042 with hints of green. Extraordinary fabric. I purchased it through my LNS.

I have the feeling that my Thread Keeper will be completely unique.

Should be stitching

Or sleeping.

I have been singularly unproductive this month. I didn't stitch at all this weekend. Well, maybe just a little on Chatelaine's Grape Threadkeeper book--almost done with part two. Of course part four is released next Monday. Sigh.

I did so well in February and March. Inspired by the Olympics, I really made great progress on most of my wips. And here in April I'm stuck in the doldrums.

April has been an off-kilter kind of month. Nothing seems quite right. Nothing too horrible (knock on wood), just not comfortable. In the grand scheme of things, it's just been minor annoyances and tiny work melodramas. I think the real problem is that I have been frequently opening mouth and inserting foot. Don't you hate months like that?

Very important--Wonder Woman Movie

This has been running around in my brain for a few days now and I just have to get it out.

I have very fond memories of the comic book and of the t.v. series.

There is going to be a new Wonder Woman Movie. Joss Whedon is writing the script for it. This is a very good thing.

Casting is important.

Nathan Fillion (Firefly/Serenity and Two Guys and a Girl) should be Major Steve Trevor. I've heard he wants to be Wonder Woman, but I really think he should settle for Steve Trevor. I feel strongly about this.

And Morena Baccarin should be Wonder Woman.

Not that I'm still upset that Firefly was cancelled or anything. This is entirely unrelated.

Entirely.

Yet another blog

I have a blog about my daughter so that we can keep our extended family close to her, even though they are far away.

This blog is for me and my other interests (if you read my DD's blog, you'll see she is rather interesting). I'll probably blather on about stitching and sci-fi/fantasy movies and books.

You have been warned.
